Sending Holiday Cheer with Staples Copy & Print
One of my favorite parts of Christmas is sending and receiving holiday cards. I love getting that little peek into the lives of our family and friends and to see what they’ve been up to this past year. It’s especially exciting to see new additions or how much a child has grown. In a world of social media, emails, and text messaging, it’s easy to forget how special receiving paper mail is.
If you’ve followed the blog for a while you know how I’ve tried to up my photography game this past year. For our Christmas cards I knew I wanted to use a photo of the little man and it definitely had to be one that I took. I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I was when I saw how the photos from our little photo shoot came out. There was so many good ones that it was hard to choose just one, but once I did I knew it was the perfect one to use to debut the little man to all of our family and friends!
For our cards this year I used Staples. I usually make ours with photoshop but was excited not to have to do that this year. With a little one around, all the doctors appointments he has, and everything else going on I just knew there wasn’t going to be any time to custom make one this year!
Staples Copy and Print was where I found my card design, and in addition to our Christmas card I also ordered cards for a craft party I’m co-hosting. I ordered both at the same time and was told that I could pick up the Christmas Card in-store the next day and the party cards would be shipped to me within a few days.
Long story short, a week and a half later I still hadn’t received any information on my order so I headed into the store with the little man to find out what was going on. My order had apparently been lost in cyberspace and the woman on the phone told me I’d have to go home and resubmit my order, which I did not have time to do. Luckily Staples has locations nationwide and the people in the store were willing to work with me to get me my order that same day. Two hours later I walked out of the store with all of my cards in hand.
While I wasn’t too thrilled with my experience with the woman on the phone at Staples, I was so satisfied with the people I worked with in store. They were so patient and willing to go above and beyond to get me my order. If there were no stores to go to I wouldn’t have gotten my order in on time. While I wasn’t overly satisfied with my Christmas cards (about half of them had a smear on the little man’s face from the printer) I am so appreciative of how the store handled the situation.
I also ordered an 8×10 canvas of the Christmas photo I took from Staples Photo Gifts. Now this was the part of my order that I was completely satisfied with. It came in quickly and it looks fantastic! I love that it’s being displayed on my Christmas mantle this year, and we’ve gotten so many compliments on it.
Staples offers so many different card and invitation designs and gift ideas that it was really hard to choose which ones I wanted to work with. Ultimately I love all of the designs I chose and that canvas is my new favorite piece of holiday decor! I can’t wait to send off our Christmas cards this year and show off that super cute little kid (I’m biased, I know). But really….he looks like his Daddy so he really is one handsome little dude!
Now through December 26th you can get 20% off cards and invitations with the code: HOLIDAY20 and 20% off Photo gifts with the code: JOLLY20.
Do you send holiday cards each year? Do you make your own or do you save time and order them online?
