Craft a Card Thursday: With Sympathy

This month I thought I’d mix it up a bit.  The last few times I’ve posted Photoshop made cards, and I think I am way past due for an actual handmade one.

Unfortunately, this month I needed a sympathy card.  I immediately went to Pinterest to find some inspiration, and boy did I find some!  I don’t know if anyone else has this problem, but I always want to go out and buy a ton of new stamps once I see some of the cute cards others have made.  Since I know that is not an option, I had to work with what I own and come up with something just as great as what others have done.

Sympathy Card

For this card I used different shades of blue cardstock, embellished white cardstock from Michaels, light blue ribbon, and the butterfly Martha Stewart punch.  I didn’t have a stamp I liked so I typed out the words in Microsoft Powerpoint, printed it out, and cut it down to size.

Note on the inside

I found this site online that has great wording for sympathy cards if you’re like me and can never think of the right thing to say.  Or, you think of something comforting to say three hours later, in the car, on the way home.  That happens to me all the time.

If you believe in the power of prayer, please say one for this family who are going through a very tough time right now.

Thank you.
