Three years ago today I was walking down the aisle to marry Chris.  It is so crazy to think that three years have passed since our big day, and how much has also changed since then.  Since I’m feeling a bit sentimental today, I decided to bring you a fun wedding day project!

Every wedding party sheds a few tears on the big day; whether it’s family, friends, or the bride and groom themselves.  On my wedding day, I never thought to bring tissues to the chapel in case someone cried.  And of course, there were definitely tears of joy from our family as we said our I Do’s!  Lucky for me, Disney provided the items I left at home but it would have been nice to not to worry about where I was going to get them from!  For the next bride in my life, I am going to give them a day-of gift basket that includes things like the KLEENEX® Betsey Styled Single Packs and other essential items that every bride will need to get through the wedding day!

Care Package Essentials

• Water.  With everything going on the hours leading up to the ceremony, keeping hydrated will be the last thing on the brides mind.  Help her out and give her some water!
• First aid kit.  The day before the wedding I took a rather nasty tumble and scratched up my elbows, chipped a few nails, and slapped my head fairly hard on the ground (yea, that was embarrassing).  Don’t be like me and come unprepared for accidents that could (and may) happen.  It’s better to be safe than sorry!
• Toothbrush (and maybe floss).  Hey….that first kiss is a big deal and you do not want bad breath!  Both the bride and groom will thank you for this one.
• Mouthwash and/or breath mints.  Another gift the bride and groom will thank you for when it comes time for that first kiss!
• Nail kit.  Just in case the bride or one of her bridesmaids needs a touch-up, this should definitely be in the basket!
• Chapstick.  Nothing is worse than dry and chapped lips!  This will keep them pretty and hydrated for all the pictures the photographer will be taking.
• Deodorant.  You never know when this will come in handy!
• Lint roller.  This may be more for the groom (unless the bridesmaids are wearing darker dresses), but no one wants lint stuck to them while walking down the aisle!
• Hairspray and/or bobby pins.  The wedding day is a long one and no one wants their hair going limp or falling out of an up-do halfway through the event.
• Wrinkle Release Spray.  Keep the wedding party looking pristine through the hundreds of pictures and all the sitting and standing they’ll be doing throughout the day.
