Soulmates Anniversary Card

Every year for our anniversary I try to make Chris a card.  Last year I made three because I just couldn’t decide which one I liked best.  This year though, he’s only getting one.

I found a Hobby Lobby about twenty minutes away from me and was so excited to go and look around.  I found some great stamps and scrapbook paper that I knew would be perfect for the card I wanted to make Chris.  Let’s just say that I am a Hobby Lobby lover now. Goodbye Joann’s and Michael’s, it was nice knowing you.

Anniversary Card and Easter Basket

This card was incredibly easy to make.  I bought the stamps and paper from Hobby Lobby but already had the ink and ribbon on hand.  I’m always a little weary of combining different patterns because I don’t want the finished product to look too busy, but I’m incredibly happy that I took a chance with this card.  Every pattern compliments each other and in a happy coincidence they also match our wedding colors!

Saying on the inside of the card
“Soulmates are people who bring out the best in you. They are not perfect, but are always perfect for you.”

I really hope Chris likes it.  And I hope he enjoys all the candy in his basket as well.  I may have to eat one or two of his Cadbury eggs while he’s not looking, those are my favorites!

    1. Thank you, Madison! Making cards is definitely one of my favorite traditions on our anniversary. 🙂

  1. I think this is adorable! Every year my fiance and I make a scrapbook to recount our favorite memories, but I love your handmade card idea. Every time we buy each other cards we end up writing our own messages inside. But the thought of creating a card that perfectly reflects our feelings is wonderful. I am going to try this 🙂

    1. Thank you, Alicia! I love the idea of a scrapbook! I’ve done a few Shutterfly books but I stopped doing them after our wedding. I think that is such a sweet tradition though!
