Come Away With Me Travel Printable
Display this sweet and simple Come Away With Me travel printable as a reminder to get lost and make memories with the ones you love this summer.
I don’t know what it is about summer but every year I get really excited about it and then end up doing nothing for three months. To make matters worse, Chris and I really don’t travel much over the summer because we like to spread our adventures throughout the rest of the year instead. But now that we have a little one I know it’s important to find things to do this year. To take him places and make some memories. So I made this fun travel printable as a reminder to get lost with the ones I love this summer.
As a kid I always loved getting my bike and riding it around our yard. Because I grew up in the middle of nowhere on a gravel backroad we had to ride our bikes around our hilly and grassy yard. I loved feeling the wind in the my hair as I raced down a hill and the burn in my legs as I turned around to pedal back up it. It was the only way I wanted to travel. And I logged a lot of miles on my bikes throughout the years.
My mom no longer has the house I grew up in so my children will never know the thrill of racing down the huge hill in our front yard. What I do have though is those memories. I love reminiscing about those times and I know that I want my kids to have similar adventures to look back on someday. And even though Chris and I are not huge doers during the summer (it’s SO hot here, y’all!), I know that has to change now that we have a little one. I think I finally have a good enough reason to buy a bike, it’ll be the start of many family adventures to come!
Bike rides remind me of sunny days and long nights, warm weather, flip flops, and trails in the woods. Of all the adventures I’ve taken and the ones I still want to go on. Now I just have to convince Chris that now is the time to buy bikes! Well, after we have a house. There’s no room to store them in our apartment.
Let’s be honest though, I have dreams of taking our little guy on rides in those adorable little bike trailers. Seriously, I need one of those in my life!
