Mossy Monogram Letter DIY
Hi There! I’m Heather, and I blog about crafts, home decor, and delicious recipes over at The Deans List Blog. I am thrilled to be writing today for Teresa! I’m so excited for her new little family!
One of my favorite times of year is fall. I actually don’t know that I’ve met anyone who has argued with me about that! The crisp air, apple or pumpkin everything, and of course, all the decor that goes with it! I’m always looking for new ideas. Instead of a traditional wreath, I decided to make this mossy monogram to add some color to our door.
I recently made an ampersand mossy plaque for my gallery wall, and I had quite a bit of moss left! I love the way it looks so I was looking for several other ways to use it around my house.
Here are the supplies I used:
-chipboard letter
-moss sheets
-hot glue
-ribbon or fabric
-scissors
First, I recommend laying out a tablecloth or newspaper. The moss is very messy when it is cut. Next, trace your letter reverse side onto the back of the moss sheets. carefully cut it out and remove the backing. Then, you can use the hot glue to attach the moss to the letter. Cut small strips to attach on the sides or in the middle of your letter. Then, use the hot glue to attach your letter to your fabric or ribbon, and hang it up wherever you want!
Yes, it’s as simple as that to look this cute! What does your front door look like? Send me a picture on instagram with #DeansListDIY! Don’t forget to hop on over to my blog to see what I’ve got cooking up today!
Thanks for letting me share with you!
