As the Pinterest Party came to a close and Chris and I sat in the kitchen talking about the events of the day, I started to wonder what in the world I would write about for today’s Disney post.  I was halfway listening to a story about his adventures at the office that morning when I suddenly (and quite rudely) interrupted and asked what I should write about on the blog. Knowing that Sunday’s are my Disney days, he glanced up at the counter where the remnants of Pinterest-worthy dishes sat and then headed off to the Baker’s Rack to grab one of my cookbooks.  He began to flip through and started naming off complicated dishes that I should try, and I had to gently remind him of the time constraint and the fact that I was in no way motivated to go to the grocery store that evening.

Apple Pie Cocktail

Finally, he pulled up a recipe that both of us are quite addicted too.  We had the apple pie cocktail for the first time a few years ago at the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot and fell in love with it!  Just another reason to visit Disney in the Fall!  Lucky for me this recipe was incredibly simple to make so I was all in.  My first thought was, this would be perfect with apple pie on Thanksgiving.  So, if you’re in the mood for a cocktail on Thursday you should try this out.

If you’re ever at Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival you can find this drink at the Poland Pavilion. Its actual name is the Frozen Szarlotka Cocktail, but we prefer the easier to pronounce version.

This recipe can be found in the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival Cookbook.
