Do you ever have one space in your house where the lack of organization is driving you nuts?  That space for me is my linen closet.  It is somewhat organized, but it is still incredibly hard to find what I need whenever I need it.

A little over a week ago I saw a post on Google+ from an Online Label Company asking if any bloggers wanted to try out some of their labels and write about it.  Talk about the perfect solution at the perfect time!  I was more than willing to give their labels a try, especially if it meant easier navigation through my Dollar Tree storage bins.

I asked to try their clear gloss labels (item #’s OL223CK &OL800CK) on my bins.  They are also waterproof which makes them perfect for the bathroom!

On my computer I opened a Word document and styled the labels the way I wanted them. I think my printer is a little off because the wording came out a little crooked, but other than that I was very happy with how they looked so far.

Once I put them on my bins (they’re incredibly easy to apply!), I stood back to admire my work.  The first thing I noticed is that because they are clear labels, you couldn’t see the wording that well on a few of the bins.  That just wasn’t going to work for me.

Can you spot the labels?

It was bugging me, so I knew I had to do something to make the text stand out a bit more.  I decided to use some scrapbook paper and place the labels over it so there would be a pattern behind the text.  A little bit of double sided tape later, and they looked exactly the way I wanted them to in the first place!  I’m much happier with the way they look now!

I love the fact that, by adding the paper, the labels look laminated.  I’ll be eager to see how they stand up to steam from the shower after a while too.  Right now they’re perfect for what I needed.  I’m already itching to find some more organizing projects to use these on!

  1. I love an organized space. Our linen closet can get messy so quickly, I was thinking about labeling things too. My hubby jokes that he will never buy me a label maker because he’ll come home and everything will be labeled including drawers that say socks, silverware, undies…etc… 🙂 It makes life less cluttered and simpler when things are organized. Great job on your linen closet. SITSgirls Rock!

    1. I have a label maker too and I ran out of paper pretty fast from labeling everything after I got it. haha They’re addicting! Thank you so much for the sweet comment! I feel so much more calm when things have a proper place. 🙂

  2. I love their labels! I’ve been buying their round labels for years. They’re good for so many different things and I love that they have templates for Word for all of them too. Great post!

    1. Thank you! I really love the labels I was able to review! I’ll have to try their round labels next! I’m glad to know someone else uses and loves them.
