Spring Garden Wreath

Do you remember the episode of Friends with Monica’s messy closet?  All of her most shameful secrets (like the fact that she’s “messy”) were hidden in there, and Chandler was shocked and a little bit excited to find out his wife wasn’t as organized as he thought.

My version of Monica’s closet is a large blue bin that is full of wreath bases.  It’s almost impressive the amount I’ve collected over the past few years.  The only bad thing is I forget which bases I have so I always end up buying more when I’m at the craft store.  In my defense though, the large bin is a big pain to get in to so I always just leave it be.  So if anyone is in the market for a wreath base, send them my way.  I could hook them up!

With how much I obviously love wreaths, it’s kind of shocking I haven’t made one since Thanksgiving!  I guess I can blame that on just not being inspired lately, but all that changed when I saw this English Garden Wreath!  So, I decided to make my own version.

Brighten up your front door with a simple Spring Garden Wreath to celebrate the warmer weather that this season brings!

This wreath was fairly easy to dream up, especially after I saw the canvas ribbon at Michael’s yesterday!  I originally wanted to use moss but once I saw the ribbon I was sold.  Apparently everyone else felt the same way I did because there was only one roll of that beautiful ribbon left in the entire store! Luckily the roll covered most of the foam base, and I just wrapped regular burlap that I already had in the uncovered area.  The plan was to do that anyway since I was going to use hot glue to attach the flowers so it ended up working out perfectly!

My poor door really needed some color and I am really happy with how this wreath brought life to it!  I love the fact that our doors are blue (they used to be red, thank goodness the apartment complex painted them!) but they’re kind of plain without anything hanging on the door!

I love ringing in the seasons with new wreaths, and this Spring Garden Wreath is so colorful and bright that it just screams Spring to me!  Even though Spring brings the hassle of allergies, all that doesn’t matter as long as there is new life and warmer weather headed our way.  I just love celebrating this season!

Do you love making wreaths for the seasons?  Have you made one for Spring yet?

    1. I do that all the time too! haha My Christmas wreath supplies were sitting in my living room and I just ended up using some of them for this Spring wreath because I didn’t have time to do the Christmas one. haha Thank you! I’m so excited that this wreath turned out exactly like I planned (because that NEVER happens!)! 🙂
