If you’ve followed me for a while, you know how much I love making wreaths.  They are my go-to craft project because of how easy they are.  Plus you can make one for every season, and who doesn’t love a craft project that you can change out often?

I’m a little late on making a Summer wreath for my door, but since I was down and out with the flu last week I took that opportunity to make one.  I wanted something with bright colors and since I’ve been on a beach kick lately I wanted the wreath to reflect that.

I had a few leftover accessories from the Memory Lamp I made for our master bedroom and thought that I could use some of it for the Summer wreath.  I also reused a wreath base that I already had to keep the cost down.  The ribbon I found while waiting for my oil change at Wal Mart, and I liked it so much that I ended up buying more in other colors for a just-in-case situation.

I’m sure my husband loves coming home to a pink wreath.  While that color makes me feel happy and girly, I’m quite positive it does not have the same effect on him.  However, he’s a trooper and is pretty much is okay with whatever I like.  I’m pretty thankful for that!

While there are times I love elaborate and complicated wreaths, most of the time I like it when things are simple and understated.

    1. Thank you! This is my favorite type of wreath. haha You should try it! I’d love to see what you come up with!

    1. Hi Heather. I used wire and tied it to around the middle of the C (it’s covered by the starfish) and then to the back of the wreath frame. And then, I used hot glue to attach it to different parts of the ribbon so it wouldn’t slide.
